Disclosure: I received free tickets to visit the waterpark for review purposes. All experiences and opinions are my own. Yours may differ. My family and I have been to many waterparks. I kind of consider myself a waterpark snob because some waterparks are great for families and children, and others are just horrible. Whether it is how the rides are laid out, or what types of rides there are, it can really make or break a park for families. The Fallsview Indoor Waterpark is one of the … [Read more...]

Disclosure: I was given media passes for promotion purposes. All experiences and opinions are my own. I own the VHS (that is what goes in a VCR, which they don't make or sell anymore, for all you young kids out there! lol) of the original Broadway cast doing the show. There are 4 different areas: the interactive Museum Experience, the Chocolate Lab, Café Zooka and the Museum Shop. The Museum Experience is the entire second floor of the building and takes you through the history of Hershey - the man (Milton Hershey), the company and the town. Whitaker Center – Harrisburg, PA
Having been a child (not long ago-ahem), a teacher and now a parent there are not many museums or interactive exhibit centers that blow me away. Often they seem to all have the same general features with a few unique things here and there. Don't get me wrong I love a good Children's or Science Museum but had I not been able to visit the Whitaker Center I would have missed out on a fantastic opportunity. So here they are- the things that the Whitaker Center had that I wish I had … [Read more...]
Pride of the Susquehanna- Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
My family was thrilled to take a ride on the Pride of the Susquehanna River Boat. We had a wonderful 45 minute afternoon ride. To say that the employees of the river boat were accommodating would be an understatement. They were friendly, patient and very understanding (we had issues with our tickets-totally the fault of my email and sometimes when there are little issues like this I am interested to see how people will react.) They didn't miss a beat when we had issues with our tickets- they … [Read more...]

How to Prepare for a Road Trip
This post may contain affiliate links or sponsored information. All opinions are my own.I LOVE to travel, but I HATE to get there. I know the journey should be a fun part of the trip, but I prefer the destination. My family jokes that my motto is "We aren't on vacation until we get there." That is truly how I feel. I am probably the worst traveler in the car - not my kids. We have traveled quite a bit, but road trips are somewhat new to us. It has taken some forgotten essentials on past … [Read more...]
