$25 Cash St. Patrick’s Day Giveaway

Now that Valentine’s Day is over, let’s get on to celebrating the next fun holiday – St. Patrick’s Day! I haven’t been too into St. Patrick’s Day on Making of a Mom but I do have a couple fun posts to help you celebrate:

    It is a bittersweet day for me because it was my grandfather and cousin’s birthday and both passed at an early age. I do get St. Patty’s day necklaces for the kids to wear and they wear green that day to school

    The kids used to get dressed up in all green and attend the parade (in Montreal). But now since they’ve grown up and out, we tend not to do anything.

    When the kids were young I made sure I had plenty of dollar store items for them to dress up in!! Theyhave different dress up days that count for house points still . NOw adays we don’t do a thing as I’m pretty sure it slips everyones mind and I never know exactly how late I might have to work til

    i celebrate st Patrics day at my friends house where we celebrate with my friends baking and cooking irish food and wearing green clothing.

    I usually just make corned beef and cabbage, even knowing it isn’t traditional. I also pick up soda bread from one of our local grocery stores. I have tried making it myself but it is never as good as their bakery does it.

    Our town was founded by Irish settlers and it has the second largest St Patrick’s Day parade in the province. We spend most of the day celebrating, watching and participating the parade.
