The Henry Doorly Zoo is one of the top zoo’s in the country. It is huge, and amazing. The exhibits are fantastic and there are lots of fun things for the kids as well – train, carousel, petting zoo.
The Omaha Children’s Museum is so much fun. With fantastic permanent exhibits for the kids that are education and fun as well as interesting rotating exhibits, the museum never gets old!
The Durham Museum is incredible. With trains to walk through, a digging site to uncover dinosaurs and amazing exhibits filled with culture and education, this is a fun family stop.
Lauritzen Gardens is so beautiful. With tons of themed gardens, it is such a nice stroll. My family’s favorite garden was the Railroad Garden with tons of trains traveling through prominent Omaha scenes. It was so much for to watching them all and walk under the bridges. There has been some construction and expansion since we last visited so it’s even better now!
