When Jim White and the 3 Diaz brothers walked into the room, I was so excited. At the end of McFarland, USA the movie does a "where are they now?" type thing and they are in the movie, running with the current McFarland High School track team. From the movie and the recap of things that are happening now, I felt like I knew them, like we were old friends. The guys were all so humble and so proud of the film. Sometimes it can be tricky turning real life events into a film, making sure you … [Read more...]
The Men Behind Big Hero 6: Don Hall and Chris Williams
I love talking to directors because they are such creative people. They view the world in a way that is different from most of us and are able to take that view and create a fictional story that almost seems real.Don Hall and Chris Williams are the directors of Big Hero 6. The whole project started from Hall finishing up Winnie the Pooh and needing another project. Since he has a love for animation and Marvel he started doing some research and discovered Big Hero 6. The story line was … [Read more...]

That is exactly what happened during my interview with Kevin Costner about his upcoming film McFarland, USA.Let's be honest, Kevin Costner is a superstar, but the humility and wisdom that protrudes from him is amazing. I entered the room as a fan girl, but I walked out inspired and honored to have been involved in the interview. He is so much more than an awesome … [Read more...]

101 Dalmatians On Blu-ray and Digital Download 2/20
101 Dalmatians is a movie I grew up watching. I've mentioned numerous times that growing up, I could only watch Disney movies on Sundays and so I would watch multiple Disney movies, every single Sunday. This has created a lot of fondess in me for all these old Disney classics I was so excited to get the Blu-ray combo pack of 101 Dalmatians for my family, as I still own the VHS tape I grew up watching. My older two kids have seen the movie, but last week I snuggled on the couch with … [Read more...]

The Hundred-Foot Journey on Blu-Ray Now
I received a free copy of the movie for review purposes. All opinions are completely my own.The Hundred-Foot Journey is a Disney movie that I have posted about in the past but I hadn't seen it until last night. I love when Disney produced movies that are PG because those are so rare these days so I wanted to see it, but it wasn't on my priority list.Last night after the kids were in bed my husband and I went downstairs and had a movie night. He didn't know much about the film but … [Read more...]
Live Action ‘Cinderella’ Pictures + Trailer
I always think it is interesting when an animated film becomes live action. It seems there is always room for a different interpretation of the film when this happens. I sincerely hope, though, with Cinderella the story remains the same. I love the message of being yourself and evil doesn't win!I recently got some pictures and a trailer form the movie that I would love to share with you: Aren't the costumes and gowns amazing. I seriously wouldn't … [Read more...]
Disney’s McFarland, USA
I love feel good, inspirational movies and Disney is really good at making those types of movies. Up next in the line up of this genre of movies is Disney's McFarland, USA. Based on the 1987 true story, “McFarland, USA” follows novice runners from McFarland, an economically challenged town in California’s farm-rich Central Valley, as they give their all to build a cross-country team under the direction of Coach Jim White (Kevin Costner), a newcomer to their predominantly Latino high school. … [Read more...]
Toy Story 4 Plans Revealed
In the first song of Muppets Most Wanted there is a funny joke. The song is talking about how the Muppets are doing another sequel. The reasons they are doing it are because "that's what they do in Hollywood", "the studio considers them a viable franchise", "The Studio wants more, while they wait for Tom Hanks to make Toy Story 4".Now at the time I thought this was just a funny joke with no merit behind it. After all, at the conclusion on Toy Story 3 Woody, Buzz and all our beloved … [Read more...]
