On my recent trip to Los Angeles I knew I would be needing a few electronic devices to help with my blogging and keeping connected to my family. With so many interviews, seeing so many movies and visiting so many places I knew I would need extra help keeping my phone powered up and online.
First up from Verizon is a Mophie Juice Pack. This external battery has ports to charge two devices at once. I didn’t have a lot of good luck with it, but it may have been the cords I was using. I do find it vital to have an external battery or two while traveling. Especially on blog trip where I use my phone a lot, I need to always be powered up.
A lot of times when traveling there isn’t a Wifi connection, or it isn’t free. Having a Jetpack– your own personal Wifi device is very handy. Besides letting you get the internet wherever you are, you can also allow several friends to join the connection as well. This Jetpack is equipped to let up to 8 people use the signal. This was helpful on my trip because one of the hotels where we did interviews didn’t have very good internet service. It was nice to be able to help other bloggers out by also having them share the signal. We have several road trips this summer and I think I will definitely be needing a Jetpack while on the road.
