Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this discuss. All opinions are my own.
Some cool features of this bow are:
- It’s available at Walmart for only $24.97. It comes in green and red.
- The bow lights up with LED lights. The arrows also light up!
- When you shoot an arrow hard enough it whistles.
- Includes 3 soft foam arrows.
- So easy that even my 5-year-old can play!
- Shoots 145 feet!
This has been a great family toy. After homework, piano practice and chores are done, the kids head to the basement everyday for target practice. We had to sit the kids down and set up rules since we have never had a toy like this before. Now that everyone knows the rules and can stay safe, it is so much fun!
We placed a table at the far end of the basement and line up different sized boxes. Then the kids can pick how far back they want to stand. We have a hallway and bedroom opposite the table so the possibility is really far. Of course my husband likes to stand at the opposite end of the basement in the bedroom and fire the arrows. He’s really good at hitting the targets and making the arrows whistle really loud.
I love how the bow and arrows glow. Check out my instagram video of one of our nights of play:

Fun huh? We don’t play in the dark, that was just for the video, but the kids loved it. There is something about glowing toys that make them way more fun!

Quarter inch nuts, are you nuts???? Great idea over all, and yes, I will make a few dozen of these I’m sure. HOWEVER, I think a nice glob of “weld-tight” or other epoxy product in place of the steel hardware would add the weight you want, but can be shaped into a ball (or glob) that absolutely will NEVER come off. Maybe a few duct tape “feathers” on the tail end.
Looks like lots of fun
