What you need:
Crayons- High quality- like Crayola brand
Stove top or candle warmer
Paper towels
Painting Surface
Step 1- Peel and melt your crayons one color at a time wither on your stovetop or in a candle warmer.
Step 2- Get your surface ready whether it be canvas, paper or cardboard.
Step 3- When you have melted your crayons grab a paper towel and crumple it into a ball.
Step 4- Dip the paper towel ball into the melted wax- then make little swishes all around your page. Each time you dip get a new paper towel. You can probably do 2-3 quick swishes with wet wax before it starts to dry.
Step 5- Repeat these steps for each color you choose.
I love this look. I could not have created this with paint and a brush and I surely couldn’t have created it with crayons in their natural state! I love how it looks in the frame. In fact I might be having my kids create some in the future-possibly to add a little color to my bathroom. While your crayons are melted, try letting your kids make fingerprint art.
Go get creating this classy look with something you have lying around!
