Cooler Weather Requires Warm Sandwiches – Hamilton Beach Panini Press

November 6, 2013 By Stefanie

Disclosure: I received a free product sample to review for my Holiday Gift Guide. All experiences and opinions are my own. Yours may differ.

As the weather get cooler and cooler, we start eating and drinking warmer and warmer foods. We break out the boxes of cocoa, sharpen up my soup making skills, the crockpot see’s a lot more action and now I have this amazing panini press to add to the mix! Think of this: Panini’s and soup! YUMMMMM

Hamilton Beach sent me this amazing Panini Press. We LOVE panini’s at our house. We also love to make up new panini recipes and experiment adding things to our panini’s. This has been such a fun small appliance addition to our kitchen.

Hamilton_Beach_PaniniPress

When we first got the Panini Press out of the box we explore it features. The press features lights to help you know when it is finished heating up and ready to go! This amazing appliance is a nice size. It can fit 4 sandwiches on the non-stick grill plate. It also can accommodate sandwiches of different thicknesses because the top of the panini press is “floating” and will adjust. There is also a knob on the side of the panini press that allows you to adjust how much “pressing” is going on. I don’t mind my sandwiches pressed as much as the appliance wants too, but my husband prefers them not “smashed” so he adjusts the know so the top of the panini press won’t put it’s full weight on the sandwich. The press also has a latch that enables you to keep it closed for upright storage.

My kids LOVE making their own grilled cheese sandwiches on this press. Β It is quick and easy. I love dipping my grilled cheese sandwich in tomato soup. My husband and I love experimenting. In the sandwich pictured above we used:

  • sauteed onions and asparagus
  • black forrest ham
  • chipotle cheddar

This sandwich was sooooo good! Another favorite we have had is:

  • Turkey
  • Provole
  • Sundried Tomato Pesto mixed with Cream Cheese

My mouth is watering. Also, remember the BBQ Cranberry Chicken recipe I shared a while ago? Well I put that on a sandwich with a cheddar/colby jack combo and it was amazing. The possibilities are endless!

I’m so glad to be working with Hamilton Beach on this amazing promotion. Our Fall and Winter eating is going to rock with the great paninis and warmer sandwiches we will enjoy! You can pick up a Panini Maker as a Christmas gift or get one for yourself on the Hamilton Beach website.

Hamilton Beach is giving one lucky reader their own Panini Press! This giveaway is open to US residents ages 18+. The giveaway will run from November 7 through November 16. Making of a Mom is not responsible for prize shipment. Winner will be verified, emailed and have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen, no exceptions. Enter through the rafflecopter below. Good luck!
