Slow and Steady – My 7 year old does everything at his own pace, including dunking. He takes his OREO cookie and dunks it in the milk and holds it there a long time and then eats. He only does half a cookie at a time so it takes a while for him to get through an entire cookie.
Twist and Dunk – This is my daughter’s method. She will twist the cookie in half and only dunk half at a time. I too take on this method at times. The cookie is my favorite part so I’ll eat the side of the cookie that twists off without cream filling and then dunk the cream side. Yummy!
Tiny Attack – This is my toddlers version of dunking. He only dunks a tiny bit of the cookie in at a time and takes tiny bites. This makes a big mess all over his face but he makes the enjoyment of an OREO cookie last a long time. It probably takes ten dunks for him to go through a cookie.
Fully Submergable – My husband’s method of dunking OREO cookies is actually quite frustrating to me. He goes all in. He takes a whole cookie and dunks it fully under the milk getting his fingers in his milk up to his knuckles. I think it’s gross but he loves the entire cookie to be fully saturated with milk without any crunchy spots. He’s done this since childhood and this is definitely his only method of dunking.
