Disney’s newest Tinkerbell flick, TinkerBell and the Legend of the Neverbeast (Though Fawn is the main character, so the title is a little deceiving) is out NOW! You can purchase this at a store near you or get it on Disney Movies Anywhere. I already have this downloaded on my iPad!
I want to give you my thoughts about the movie without spoiling it, so I apologize for the vagueness now.
This movie is very different from the past fairy movies, in my opinion. This one is very emotional and while they all teach life lessons, this one seems very pertinent at this time. In this film Fawn has to learn how to balance following her heart and her head, and it’s a hard road for her. It also follows the theme of Mcfarland, USA along the lines of not “judging a book by its cover.”
The story synopsis is this:
Return to Pixie Hollow for a heartwarming adventure, Disney’s Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast. An ancient myth of a massive creature sparks the curiosity of Tinker Bell and her good friend Fawn, an animal fairy who’s not afraid to break the rules to help an animal in need. But this creature is not welcome in Pixie Hollow — and the Scout Fairies are determined to capture the mysterious beast, who they fear will destroy their home. Fawn must convince her fairy friends to risk everything to rescue the NeverBeast.
One of my favorite things about this movie is the introduction of these new fairies, the Scout Fairies. When I watched the movie with my family, my daughter was very curious about these new fairies. Interestingly, it was the boys in my house that really liked the Scouts because they are so physical and active. They have some really amazing action scenes in this film.
We are also introduced to “Gruff” the Neverbeast. Though scary at first, he really is a sweet animal full of love and becomes very attached to Fawn.
The movie is very sweet. It’ll definitely tug at your heart-strings, so have some tissues with you when you watch. My kids loved it and so it’ll be on repeat for a while at my house!
