Simple Preschool Learning Activities

March 12, 2020 By Stefanie

A big thanks to Teach My for joining this season’s Holiday Gift Guide and sponsoring this discussion.

Simple-Preschool-Learning-Activities
I have been blessed to have my children spread out enough in age that I have had one on one time with each of them. Now is the season that my youngest gets his one on one time and we love it! He is such a smarty pants that I have to keep coming up with new ideas to teach him and enforce the things he already knows.

Today I want share some of the simple preschool learning activities that I do with my toddler.

Shape Snowman Craft

do-you-want-to-build-a-snowman

My toddler is already all about crafts. My husband and I created this darling Shape Snowman Craft using paper plates as the body and these printable shapes as the elements to the snowman. Just download the PDF to print the full size sheet. Cut out the shapes and let your preschooler glue the snowman together! While you are creating together make sure to point out all the shapes such as “The Snowman has a triangle nose” or “The Snowman has circle buttons”. My son had such a great time making this craft I need to think of more similar crafts quick!

Letter, Number, Shape Pancakes

This one is fun because the whole family can get involved in teaching your little ones. We like to have breakfast for dinner, so occasionally I’ll make our pancakes into letters, numbers or shapes. Let me tell you it is so exciting for the kids to see a big plate of fun pancakes to choose from. All through the meal the whole family will be talking about letters, numbers and shapes and I’m sure some learning will take place.

Shape Lacing Cards

Earlier this year I created some DIY shape lacing cards. Print them out and make this fun activity for your little one. This is also a great for fine motor skills.

Teach My Learning Kits

Teach-My-Kits-Walmart
I love the Teach My Learning Kits because they are fun for my kids. I have the Teach My Baby and Teach My Toddler kits which my 2-year-old loves. He is pretty smart, though, so I need to get the Teach My Preschooler to bring him to the next level.

Playing-Teach-My-Toddler
These kits feature fun learning of numbers, letters, shapes, animals, first words, animals, writing and more! These kits are so much fun. I have written about them tons so check out all my Teach My articles to see reviews and recommendations on what kits will work best for your family.

Teach My learning kits are available in Walmart and Toys R Us stores as well as online. Connect with them on Facebook for the latest news and giveaways!
