Febreze_Holiday_Scents

It’s it funny how certain things can trigger memories. Certain foods remind me of times and places I have visited with my family. Sometimes when I see a Sunset a certain color it will remind me of a trip. Songs remind me of where I was when I heard it, or who I was with. It’s fun to be reminded of happy memories by the simplest of things.

As the holidays are now approaching there are going to be familiar smells that will trigger happy past holiday memories. Gingerbread, mint, vanilla and pumpkin all signal to me that the holidays must be near and it’s time for family baking! There is a certain potpourri with cranberries and cinnamon I like to make in the winter that is reminiscent of Christmas. This year I can skip making the potpourri and just plug in my new Febreze plugin with the Cranberry Cider scent.

#FebrezeHoliday

I decided to place my Cranberry Cider Febreze plugin near the front door of my home so that everyone entering would be greeted by a lovely scent of Christmas. I also placed the  Set & Refresh Febreze canister on some shelves in my dining room. Now the lower levels of my home can be surrounded in cranberry goodness!

My favorite Christmas smell is that of Pine. I loved going Christmas tree shopping with my family as a child. It was fun going up and down rows of trees to find the perfect one. The comforting smell of pine reminds me of those times. I also remember the first time I went with my husband’s family to cut down a Christmas tree. I hadn’t ever done that before. It was very fun to be on a Christmas tree lot with my Father in Law wielding the saw and everyone voting on which tree to cut. The Christmas tree is an essential part of the Christmas symbols and celebrations so the Pine smell important. Febreze has a lovely scent called Glistening Pine that can help my home smell like we have a live Christmas tree even though our tree is artificial.

The most fun holiday scent, for me, is that of sugar cookies! It is tradition to make tons of sugar cookies in popular holiday and winter shapes. We have so much fun as a family standing around the kitchen table decorating and eating cookies. We have fun making plates of cookies to take to our friends.

If you are one that loves snow you might also love Febreze’s Winter Frost scent. Snow, although it is freezing, has a sense of being fresh and clean with it’s bright white color. Bring the freshness indoor with Winter Frost!

What are you favorite holiday smells? What items trigger happy memories for you? Which of these #FebrezeHoliday scents do you want to try?
