Receiving Care at Home with Doctor on Demand

February 18, 2015 By Stefanie

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Doctor On Demand. I received a free trial coupon code to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Getting to the doctor can be hard. I am usually able to take my kids without a problem but when I need to go, that gets a little tricky. When I go to the doctor I don’t want to bring all my kids with me, I just want to go in and out. I am a little scared of all the germs floating around a doctor’s office and the last thing I want is my three kids touching things, putting their hands in their mouth and breathing in the air in general. For this reason, I am so grateful for Doctor On Demand, which allows me and my family to visit the doctor from the comfort of my own home.

Doctor On Demand aims to make visiting a board certified physician, psychologist or lactation consultant as easy as using a free app on your phone, tablet or website on your computer.

Using Doctor On Demand

Once you download the free app or visit the website in Chrome, you will be asked to fill out information so you can get the best help possible. Tell them the symptoms you are experiencing, tell them your preferred pharmacy and then you’re ready to visit with the doctor. You can even get your first visit free with code MAKING15. That will get you a $50 credit which will cover a 15 minute medical or pediatric visit or a 25 minute psychological visit. *You will still have to enter credit card information but you will NOT be charged.

My experience was awesome. I got my toddler set up with toys and snacks downstairs so I would have a few minutes of quiet for the call. I filled out all the information required and clicked to talk to a doctor right then. I was able to speak to a doctor after about a 20 minute wait. I LOVED that we could skip all the crap with weight, and “small talk” as far as medical history and such and just talk about the problem at hand.

I have Rosacea but haven’t treated it in about 5 years. I recently got a couple dry patches of skin on my face that are bothering me. My face is already red from the Rosacea but throw in these dry patches that are even more red and I have had it! The doctor talked to me about my face, past treatments and what I would like to do. He then gave his recommendation and a plan of action. He emailed in a prescription to my local pharmacy and within 15 minutes I was off the call and being treated. I’ll pick up my medicine tonight and be on my way to looking better! I’m so happy to have discovered this really easy way to get things taken care of.

Don’t forget you can get your first call with Doctor on Demand FREE with code MAKING15.
