There’s nothing like seeing a great movie in a great theater! The new Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime is a wonderful option for movies in a few select market. I happy to be near one of these amazing new theaters.

The Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime combines Dolby Atmos, the highest quality immersive sound system, with the dazzling, colorful images of Dolby Vision. The Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime experience also includes guest-favorite elements like comfortable power recliners with seat transducers that vibrate in tandem with action on screen.

I have to tell you after we saw Inside Out in this theater it has been really hard to go to movies in “regular theater”. The experience can’t be matched elsewhere. My whole family loved the recliners, the seat vibrations that made us feel like we were in the movie and the amazing picture quality. There were speakers lining the walls and in the ceiling so we were submersed in the sound. Basically it was incredible!

Pixels is Adam Sandler’s latest blockbuster and is an action-packed sci-fi where aliens invade Earth using classic arcade games as models of attack. Whether these attacks involve Pacman munching his way through the streets of New York City or Space Invaders attacking from above, the power of Dolby Atmos brings the audience into the Pixels universe. It does this by adding an overhead dimension – a new sensation of height immerses you in the action, creating a full audio atmosphere and realistically depicting objects moving overhead, in addition it allows sounds to exist as individual entities that are precisely placed and moved in three-dimensional space.

    We actually already saw the movie, I took my two boys. It was awesome, took me back to my childhood a bit. The boys were amazed by the lack of detail in the old games, they’re used to the X-Box or something like that!

    yes, I want to see the movie for all the old game characters that I loved to play in my youth – It would be fun to tell the kids all about the old games, too

    I want to see the Pixel movie because it makes me feel nostalgic. I was born in 82 and most of the retro games were the first ones I ever played! My kids don’t know the struggle of 64bit the graphics today are amazing!

    I want to see it because the concept that aliens intercept video feeds of classic arcade games and misinterpret them as a declaration of war is definitely something different.
