Mobile Bluetooth Keyboard for a Google Nexus 7

November 12, 2013 By Stefanie

Disclosure: I received a free product sample for review purposes. All experiences and opinions are my own. Yours may differ.

When I received my Google Nexus I had no idea there was such a thing as a bluetooth keyboard for it. I was searching for cases so I could keep it protected and stumbled upon Minisuit, which is a cool website that sells accessories for your devices. Plus, it is worth mentioning their prices are really good! While browsing Minisuit I saw the bluetooth keyboard.

Minisuit sent me the Mobile Bluetooth Keyboard for my Google Nexus 7. In case you don’t know, Android devices have a typing method on them called swipe. This is a really quick way of typing with your finger. You don’t need to lift your finger for each letter, you just “swipe” your finger across the keyboard. This is a quicker way of typing than using a single finger but not as fast as a keyboard. By having the bluetooth keyboard synced with my tablet I am able to get my tasks done quicker. I’m new to the tablet world and so I still prefer using a keyboard. I work a lot with lists, google documents, post writing (wink, wink) and google calendar. Between the touch screen features of the tablet and the keyboard for typing I can get things done quick! Note that the keyboard is meant to fit with a 7 inch tablet and so it compact and smaller than the average keyboard. It does take some adjusting to get used to the size.

There are several features about this bluetooth keyboard I LOVE!!

  • It comes in a case that protects the keyboard and allows the tablet to snap into it. This make it easy to transport both.
  • It’s easy to sync to my tablet. Just pair the devices, type in the code to confirm you want to connect and done!
  • Operates at a distance of up to 10 meters.
  • It has a standby time of 60 days.
  • It takes 4-5 hours to fully charge it.
  • Uninterrupted working time of 55 hours!!

I love that this keyboard can keep going and going and going with it’s very long battery life. Overall the keyboard is high quality and feels durable. You can purchase this bluetooth keyboard for $24.95 as well as other accessories for your electronics on Minisuit.
