Holiday Brunch Recipe Ideas

November 16, 2018 By Stefanie

This post is sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc but the content and opinions are my own.

I love the holiday season (which starts now for my family) because it means lots of quality family and friend time. It also means awesome meals! My parents recently visited so we got a jump start on holiday celebrations. One of the mornings of their visit we had a holiday brunch (while still in our pj’s) with some delicious recipes I’m excited to share with you.

To prepare for the family gathering I shop at Sam’s Club. I love that they sell their items in large quantities so I’m fully prepared for my gatherings. It’s really easy to stock up and be ready to feed large groups with one trip to Sam’s Club.

Sausage Breakfast Pizza

1 pound Jimmy Dean® Sausage

1 package crescent rolls

1 cup frozen hash browns

1 cup shredded cheese

5 eggs

1/4 cup milk

1/2 tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

In a skillet cook the sausage until browned. Roll out crescent dough into an ungreased 9×13 pan. Pinch together seams and knead out and up sides to be the crust of the pizza. Spoon sausage over crust. Sprinkle with frozen hash browns. Top with cheese. In a bowl beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour over the pizza. Bake 375 for 25-30 minutes.

I haven’t made this recipe in many, many years and forgot how incredibly delicious it is. Especially with the Jimmy Dean® Sausage, this is my new favorite go-to breakfast (or brunch) recipe. Even the leftovers I ate the next day were so good. I am planning on this recipe for every holiday get together I have this year.

Bacon & Brown Sugar Hillshire Farm® Lit’l Smokies® Smoked Sausage

1 pound of Wright® Brand Bacon (cut into thirds)

1 package of Hillshire Farm® Lit’l Smokies® Smoked Sausage

1 cup brown sugar

1 package of toothpicks

In a 9 inch pan cover the bottom with half the brown sugar.

Cut the bacon into thirds. Using the now small pieces of bacon, wrap each Hillshire Farm® Lit’l Smokies® Smoked Sausage individually, placing a toothpick in the center to hold the bacon wrapping in place. Once the pan is filled with the bacon wrapped Hillshire Farm® Lit’l Smokies® Smoked Sausage, sprinkle the remaining brown sugar on top.

Baked 350 for 30-45 minutes depending on your ideal bacon crispiness level.

Since I didn’t use all of the bacon I had cut for my Hillshire Farm® Lit’l Smokies® Smoked Sausage, I cooked up the rest and served it plain on a plate.

These little bites of goodness are my absolute favorite appetizer to bring to events. Everyone loves them, they are self contained with the toothpick, and super delicious. The sugar sprinkled on top of the bacon makes for a nice little crunch when you bite into. Yum, they are so delicious.

For my brunch I also added some strawberries, mandarin oranges, muffins, juice and milk to round out the meal. We had a  lovely morning preparing the food together and visiting while eating. I’m looking forward to more family and friend gatherings this holiday season.
