Fall Place Card Holder

October 19, 2015 By Stefanie

Fall-Place-Card-Holder
I always want to be the fun Mom with a beautiful table during special occasions. One year, when my husband and I were newly married we went to Thanksgiving at his Aunt’s house. She is an amazing chef, interior decorate, pretty much amazing all around. At that dinner she had created homemade peanut butter eggs with our names piped on them. It was gorgeous. Talk about squad goals.

Since I don’t ever see myself going all out with personalized homemade peanut butter eggs, this simple Fall Place Card Holder is a good second option. Take a walk in nature to collect your supplies. It’s a simple yet darling way to spruce up your Fall table.

Supplies needed:
Pine Cones
Burlap ribbon
Silk or real fall leaf
Gold or black marker
Scissors
Glue

Directions:
1. Begin by folding the ribbon into a V shape. Add some glue and press it to the bottom of the pine cone.
2. Write the guests name on the leaf. Add some glue to the bottom edge of the leaf.
3. Tuck the leaf into the pine cone. Press the leaf to the pine cone so the glue makes contact and it adheres.
4. Allow to dry. Once dry, your fall place card holder is ready for use.

Thanksgiving Placemats

In addition to place holders, add some fun to the kids table with Thanksgiving placemats!

Are you making anything special for your holiday tables? I’d love to hear about it and get inspiration from you!

This is a great idea. With the holiday season upon us, we’ll be needing simple decor ideas like this one to set the table for a party. I love how easy and simple this project is. And I have a ton of those pincones in my yard to choose from! ๐Ÿ™‚

Cool! This is a good decoration piece and something you can be proud of if you did it right. Also, I think creating one can relieve stress as you try to just show your personality and style and don’t need to be too pressured with the result. It can also be a good gift for the holidays.

That’s a beautiful fall place card holder. The DIY project also required less than 10 products, I love it! I can’t wait to visit my local Michael’s store to buy those supplies

This is such a super cute idea! You could even paint the pinecones and leaves. Maybe gold pinecones and white leaves? That would totally give a bang. Thanks for the idea!

Love me inexpensive home decor! These are so cute for Thanksgiving place settings. I think projects that are homemade are so much more special and people appreciate them more. I think it also would make a great project for kids!

I love this. I have some acorns and I was going to do a styled photo thing for the fall but I think this is a much better idea and it will bring out my creativeness.

Homemade peanut butter eggs? Your aunt-in-law definitely would have a lot of people beat with creative ideas (is she on Pinterest)? I love the idea of a fall place card holder too! I cannot wait until I can start entertaining again, it has been too long! ๐Ÿ˜€
