Thank you to Depend for sponsoring today’s post about the #dropyourpants for #underwareness movement. All experiences and opinions are my own.
Before I had children I had a bladder of steel. Even after my first child I was doing pretty good. I have flown across the world several times without using the tiny bathroom on the airplane. I now am the mother of three and my bladder of steel is more like a bladder of plastic. I definitely have limits on “holding it” and at times I find the inconvenience of bladder leakage my new reality.
I remember the first time I realized my steel bladder was gone. A very funny article resulted in a shocked, deer in the headlights look on my face and a sprint to the bathroom. Usually for me the bladder leakage is most prominent in the months following a delivery, but still when a sneeze or a cough comes on, you bet I’m squeezing my legs together and hoping for the best. With Depend, I wouldn’t have to hope, I would have the best outcome – protection. This is a plug to remember to do your kegel exercises! I have learned now earlier in my life than I thought I would that bladder leakage is a concern for the young and old alike.
