As a Mother I want to do what is best for my kids, always. When I was pregnant with my first child I knew that I wanted to breastfeed and hoped that I would be able to do it. I had friends that had struggled with breastfeeding and some that weren’t able to at all, so I hoped this would be in my future. Regardless of how my baby ended up getting fed, my most important goal was building a foundation of life long health for that baby.
Breastfeeding worked out well for my first two children. I was lucky that my babies seemed to innately know what to do, even though me, as a first time Mom didn’t really have a clue. My troubles with nursing didn’t begin until baby three.
My third child surprised me by coming almost two weeks early. A few days before the New Year he made his appearance in the easiest child birth I had had. Though his birth was easy, feeding him became a trial. When he was a couple weeks old I remember just crying every time he needed to nurse. It hurt so bad, and he was barely eating anything because he couldn’t latch on properly. After a lot of phone calls to lactation consultants, my doctor and tons of prayers I finally figured out how to nurse HIM. He needed special help with nursing, to be held a certain way and to be guided in his feeding. What a relief it was when we both finally figured it out and started to succeed at breasfeeding.
In 2017 I had baby four. I was nervous that the same struggles as baby three would resurface but I was ready to tackle them. When she was born she was able to nurse like a champ right out of the gate. A few months after her birth I learned about Evivo – a probiotic that could help her build a foundation of life long heath. Of course I wanted her to have health for life so I was excited to give her Evivo.
How does Evivo work?
Evivo is mixed with breastmilk and given to baby with a syringe. In a clinical study, babies who were given Evivo saw an 80% reduction in potentially harmful bacteria such as E. coli, clostridia, Staph and Strep. Babies who did not receive Evivo had 4 times the level of these potentially harmful bacteria.
Modern medical practices such as antibiotic use and C-section deliveries have led to the near-total loss of this good bacteria (B. infantis) in infants, Evivo works to restore that. How wonderful to give our babies an extra boost in their foundation of life long health.
I want to give my baby Evivo because when more good bacteria is present in the gut, it crowds out the bad bacteria. It is shown that colic, eczema, allergies, diabetes and obesity are related to how well the gut microbiome developed within the first few months of life. If I can help my baby restore her gut for improved health for life, I want to do it!
