The Best Hotels & Motels To Stay In With Kids

Hotel-Motel-Kids
When traveling, knowing the best hotels to stay in with kids is super helpful. Not only will you be able to book a room that will suit your needs, but you’ll have a happy family in the process.  While not every hotel or motel chain location will be the same, many of these have similar policies across the board.  From great free breakfasts and free kids stays to fun play areas these hotels and motels are perfect to book when heading out with your family on your next weekend getaway or vacation.

The Best Hotels & Motels To Stay In With Kids

Holiday Inn:  This chain of motels has been a favorite of families for many years.  Not only do they always offer kids under 12 stay free, almost every location has a great pool and delicious breakfast. When on the road with kids, you want comfort, inexpensive stays and a great way to lower your food budget with yummy foods.

Embassy Suites:  This is a great chain that offers higher end stay while giving every guest a suite to enjoy.  This is perfect for a family since every room is a suite with a door to the bedroom offering privacy to mom and dad while kids stay in a second room, or on the hide away bed in the living area.  They also come equipped with a microwave and refrigerator in room for convenience.  The best part of these hotels however, is the free hot made to order breakfasts each morning.  Omelette’s, pancakes, French toast and bacon all feed everyone heartily while on the road. With growing kids hearty breakfast can save a ton of money on snacks later in the day.

Extended Stay America:  The benefit to this chain of hotels is the built in kitchen.  Not as expensive as a resort or condo, but still providing you the ability to prepare meals for your family in the room.  When traveling with kids, the best hotels & motels to stay in with kids almost always offer an option that makes meal times easier and more frugal.

Great Wolf Lodge: These aren’t available everywhere, but if you can locate one near you it is the best place to head out with your kids.  Great Wolf Lodge is a hotel and water park in one.  From the fun slides and lazy rivers indoors for everyone to enjoy, to the cabin like fun rooms with bunk beds and cool features it is a great place that kids can be kids in without fear of bothering anything or anyone.  It is a vacation experience in itself.

As with any chain, these are franchise locations so benefits may vary from site to site.  Check out reviews of the specific location before you book to make sure they will suit your needs.  Some locations may not offer the space you need, or may be older and run down.  While these chains are some of our favorites for obvious reasons, we realize that not all of these will work for every family.

The best hotels & motels to stay in with kids usually include a free stay for kids under 12, free breakfast or meal options, play areas or a pool, and an in room kitchenette for convenience.  When shopping around for a place to stay on your next vacation, keep these tips in mind.
