Pampers has started a campaign to recognize all that nurses do! Their Thank a Nurse campaign recognizes nurses in 3 categories, labor and deliver, neonatal intensive care (nicu) and postpartum. The nurses that cared for me after having my babies were so wonderful. They all were caring and helpful towards a first time mom and then a more seasoned mom too. I so remember being in the hospital waiting on my little boys to meet me and the world. It was a time that I look back on and remember fondly. It’s funny to me that something involved in so much pain can then be looked on with so much fondness. The nurses who care for us during this time are priceless. Pampers wants you to nominate a nurse that you’ve seen do an outstanding job in one of these areas. You can nominate them here. Nominations for your favorite nurses are open from November 9 through December 14, 2015.
There will be three finalists, one in each category (Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Postpartum). These will be announced in March and the grand prize honoree will be announced in May. The three finalists will be honored with short documentary videos showcasing their unique and inspirational nursing stories. How exciting! Each of the three finalists will receive a one-year membership to the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), attendance at the 2016 AWHONN Convention, Procter & Gamble care packages, and more. Why not visit http://tongal.com/pampersnurses for full prizing details. In addition to that they’re going to help others in honor of these nurse winners. Three, count them, three Pampers Swaddlers scholarships will be made available to help nurses from underrepresented groups complete their studies toward a Master of Science in Nursing degree. I love that they are also doing this to help nurses achieve their goals of simply being nurses!
You will want to go to the Pamper #ThankYouNurses Twitter Party, hosted by iConnect. It will take place on November 19 from 8-9pmCST.

I’d like to thank the nurse who helped me during my last c-section 8 weeks ago. She was concerned about me not sleeping and helped me use the Murphy bed because the bed I was on was very uncomfortable.

My favorite nurse is the lady that just showed my husband and I around the Labor & Delivery unit. I’m due in a month and a half and am very nervous! The nurse was very reassuring and made us feel very comfortable!
