3 Day 2 Night Texas Resort Giveaway

When I was younger our family went camping every summer. Often we would meet my grandparents at a place like Silver Falls, Oregon or Spirit Lake, Washington (now covered in the ash of Mt. St. Helens). After driving through the camp ground looking at all the available spaces, they would choose the perfect spot and set up their RV. My family set up our tent camp next to them, and together we enjoyed the sights and smells of nature for several days.

Sometimes we brought bicycles and rode throughout the campground on the roads or took ranger hikes, depending on where we camped. I loved evenings by the campfire roasting marshmallows or poking at the fire with a stick and having my parents tell me to stop because it was dangerous. Once when we were camping at Yellowstone, bears came through poking around for any morsel they could find and scared us half to death. My dad rushed us all to the car and there we sat looking out the window at the big furry creatures until they wandered off. Those were the days!

    I have never been in Texas before and this getaway looks exactly what I imagined…and my husband and I can spend some quality time in nature. There so many outdoor activities: I will definitely try fishing…

    bingo, craft shows, train rides, live bands, family activities, water skiing, jet skis, fishing, two pools, hot tub, movies by the pool…need I say more??? 🙂

    At first I couldn’t imagine a resort in Texas, but I realized that there are a multiplicity of things to do in Texas, just like there is any place else, and, actually, sometimes, it is nice, just to get away. I’d like to just get away, enjoy a little quiet and something a little different!!

    I would love to vacation at Marina Village Resorts because my family needs a break from the hustle and bustle of daily living. We spend too much time using technology and it’s time we get back to enjoying nature.

    This would be fabulous for my fiancé and me, especially since it doesn’t expire for a year. We are expecting our 3rd (unplanned) child in January and I know that with all of the hustle and bustle of life that we could use some time together just the two of us. This would be great and we would be able to go fishing (which I love) as well as just relax by the beautiful lake!
