Yummy Italian Food Courtesy of Michael Angelo’s

There are some nights when I do not want to cook dinner. Some days are too crazy or busy for me to have time to prepare a nice meal. On those days it is really nice to reach into the freezer and pull out a meal. Sometimes frozen meals are not the tastiest option, but we just push through it. If you are having dinner with Michael Angelo’s though, dinner is going to be great!

Michael Angelo’s gourmet Italian meals are sold in most grocery stores and club stores nationwide. These meals are shipped to stores within 36 hours guaranteeing an unmatched freshness! They use quality ingredients, some are even imported from Italy. You can keep up with Michael Angelo’s on their social media pages, such as on Facebook and Twitter.

Here are a couple of the Michael Angelo’s meals we tried this past week.

IMG_1103We have tried our fair share of frozen lasagna dishes, and this was definitely the best of them all. I had never tried any Michael Angelo’s food before this review, so I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was good. We tried the 32 oz meat lasagna. We all liked it enough to finish it in one meal, no leftovers here!

IMG_1145Next we tried the Mediterranean Flatbread with artichokes, bell peppers, corn and a cream sauce. I was impressed with the size of the flatbread. 2 come in each box and they were a very good size. We cut each of ours into 4 smaller pieces so everyone could have as much as they wanted. I was surprised that even my 7 year old enjoyed the flatbread since it had some veggies she hadn’t been willing to try in the past. This is the kind of thing my in laws would love, so I will definitely be recommending it to them!

IMG_1151The last meal we tried this week was the Chicken Piccata. This meal features white meat chicken, artichokes, diced tomatoes and capers in a lemon garlic butter sauce. It is a 20 ounce package and says it serves 3-4 people – which is only true if you serve it with pasta or rice –  I didn’t notice the box said that until we were done with dinner. hehe This was a pretty good dish also. It was probably my least favorite of the three we have tried, but still very good. I really liked that the chicken was a quality piece of chicken. There wasn’t any fat in it at all. My daughter again liked this dish as well.

Overall the Michael Angelo’s meals hit it out of the ball park. They are delish and you can taste the quality ingredients. If you are having a lazy day, crazy day or just in need of some delicious Italian food at home, try Michael Angelo’s!

I love these easy to make meals on the nights when I have no idea what to make. I haven’t tried the Michael Angelo’s meals yet, but I’ll pick some up when I go to the store.

Its cool to have this type of meal once in a while. I try not to have frozen meals frequently though.

I agree. We love Michael Angelo’s frozen meals. We don’t have frozen meals very often either but this brand is one that I trust. They have great ingredients and the fact that their items are fresh into the market after being made is something I love. I know it wasn’t prepared MONTHS ago. We like the lasagna…need to try the other dishes you mentioned.
