Van’s Natural Foods – A Delicious Breakfast

November 19, 2013 By Stefanie

Disclosure: I received free product coupons in exchange for my review. All experiences and opinions are my own. Yours may differ.

Last week I was approached by Van’s Natural Foods to do a review of their frozen breakfast foods. Honestly, I had never heard of them before. Plus, it isn’t like frozen food ever ends up being super good so I was a little weary of accepting. After my husband convinced me to try it (he LOVED frozen waffles lol) I accepted. Once I got the coupons I had to find a grocery store that carried the product which took us into Kansas City. We loaded our cart with 7 different Van’s Natural Foods products and headed home.

The next morning we got out the Apple Cinnamon Waffles (which are gluten free) and the French Toast Sticks. When I took my first bite I was in love! I could not believe how good they were. I’m not a fan of frozen food, let alone frozen breakfast food and these products were SO GOOD! Seriously SO. GOOD.

Now during the day when I find a when I have a moment alone I sneak some waffles into the toaster and enjoy a nice little breakfast snack in the middle of the day.

Here are the yummy foods we picked up with our coupons:

  • French Toast Sticks
  • Gluten Free Cinnamon French Toast Sticks
  • Mini Chocolate Chip Waffles
  • Gluten Free Blueberry Waffles
  • Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Waffles
  • Organic Totally Natural Waffles
  • Buttermilk Pancakes

As you can see from some of the names of the foods we picked up Van’s has a large variety of all natural, gluten free and organic products. These special foods that meet certain dietary needs definitely don’t skimp on taste. They are delicious! I’m really glad we have 7 boxes of Van’s Natural Foods to enjoy, but when we are out it’ll be time to head to Kansas City again!!

Since these are breakfast foods that require some sort of topping I wanted to share a family favorite homemade syrup recipe with you:

Magleby’s Syrup

1/2 cup real butter
1 cup white sugar
2 TBS light corn syrup
1/2 cup buttermilk

Cook these ingredients in a saucepan until boiling, then add:

1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

This syrup get rave reviews at a recent party I took it too! You will love it!
