Top Educational Toys for Spring

February 28, 2017 By Jess

I received these products in exchange for my honest opinion. All opinions are my own. Affiliate links are included in the post.

As a mom of four with a teaching degree, toys need to be educational and fun. I critique toys because I know how important they are in the development of my children. I also believe that kids should have fun as well. Spring is right around the corner, so I am looking at the best toys to buy my kids. I think I have found a few your kids will love as much as mine do.

Geo Safari Jr Bug Vac ‘n’ View

The GeoSafari® Jr. Bug Vac ‘n’ View™ is something my 8 year old son is looking forward to using. Since we are in the middle of winter here, it’s not easy to find a bug. However, we stuck some batteries in this bug vac and went bug hunting. It is going to be a fun toy this summer for the kids.  I have three boys and there may be some fighting over this awesome toy.

Count and Build TotBot

tot bot _final
My 3-year-old is learning how to count, so this toy is perfect. The Count and Build TotBot is great for kids who need to learn numbers, shapes, and colors. These kinds of things are essential to kids’ learning. My son, Josiah, has fallen in love with his new robot friend. Count and Build TotBot from Learning Resources is not only a fun toy to play with, he’s a great learning companion too.

  • Kids can build their own robot friend
  • A great way to develop counting (1–5), plus shape and color recognition skills
  • Includes 2-Piece totbot, 5 number and shape nuts, 1 detachable bolt, and 1 wrench
  • Robot measures 8″H
  • For ages 2 and up

Robot Factory Building Set

robot engineering
When I’m looking for a toy for my kids, I’m looking for something they can all play with. The Robot Factory Building Set from Learning Resources, is a great toy in so many ways! It helps my boys think for themselves and really learn. I’d like to think my kids are learning a lot, engineering wise. While they may not know they’re doing engineering, I think it’s great that they can get a head start with it. Right away, my 8-year-old built some fantastic things. It didn’t last long because we have a 2-foot-tall 2-year-old that terrorizes everything.

  • Kids practice engineering skills as they build their own pretend robot factory
  • Mix and match pieces can be Constructed endless different ways
  • Includes Robots, stickers, and more
  • A new addition to the classic gears! gears! gears! toy line. Combine it with other sets!
  • For ages 4 and older

Travel Playfoam

  • Combo 8-pack
  • Perfect for party favors
  • Easy to store and non-dry

Now that you know some of my favorite educational toys for spring, do you have any to add to the list?
