Before last week I had never tried a Tommee Tippee bottle before. I had heard a lot of good things about that brand of bottles, and have several friends that will only use Tommee Tippee’s, but I hadn’t tried them.
Over seven years ago when I was pregnant with my first baby someone gave me a bottle at a baby shower. I held onto it in case I ever needed it. With my oldest two children I never gave either of them a bottle. Here we are over seven years later and that original bottle has sat in our changing table drawer. My baby Eli was born in December. He has had some tummy troubles along the way and so occasionally I would give him a bottle. I really don’t like this original old bottle because I think the rubber nipple is weird after sitting and waiting to be used for seven years, but it ended up being the only bottle he would take. We tried buying cheap bottles and expensive bottles to get him off of the old one, but he wouldn’t have it. When the Tommee Tippee’s Closure to Nature bottle arrived I had high hopes he would love it!
Eli ended up loving the Tommee Tippee bottle! I personally think the nipple shape has something to do with it. It seems more natural. I love the features of the Closer to Nature bottles with the vent system so that it helps eliminate bubbles that cause gas and colicky babies. I love it especially since my baby does have a sensitive tummy, and the slightest things tend to give him stomach aches. I am relieved that he will take these bottles, because I really wanted to get rid of the old bottle. I love the sizes these bottles come in. I was give some 5 oz. bottles and 9 oz. bottles. The shape of the bottle itself made for easy handling. It kind of acted like a grip for holding the bottle. I give these bottles 2 thumbs up and my baby gives them one happy, full tummy! 🙂

Ths Tommee Tippee Bottle is a much better option compared to standard bottles, as it performs exceptionally as described; which is controlling the flow of excess air through the nipple which in turn gives the baby a natural “fullness” after feeding – instead of a false fullness due to excess air intake.
