Getting ready to take a vacation is exciting; however, remembering all of the essentials can make the experience feel somewhat stressful at times. Here are three things that you should consider before leaving for a Baltic cruise vacation. Bring everything on this list, and begin your vacation the right way.
Don’t forget your passport
Taking a cruise often means stopping off a number of ports, across several countries. Baltic cruises are a great way to experience beautiful lakes, canals, and other bodies of water. Also, the cities that will are included in the said tours are full of cosy shops and cafes; as such, you will certainly have a grand time during your vacation escapade.
It is not only important to bring your passports with you on your Baltic cruise, you should also consider taking it with you every time you leave the ship. Whilst it may feel like you already have enough to carry when travelling with children, should something go wrong and you miss your sailing, you will be glad you brought your passport with you when it comes to making your way either home, or to the next port of call.
Pack your medication
It is always important to remember to bring any regular medication when travelling. On a cruise this is even more important, as although they have medical facilities, you can’t guarantee that they will have exactly what you need on board. Before you leave, make sure you have enough of everything to last the length of your trip. If you or your kids suffer from sea-sickness, be sure to pack suitable motion sickness medication, and consider sea-bands, which can be worn around your wrists to relieve nausea without medication.
Remember your travel documents
You won’t be getting very far if you don’t remember to bring your reservation details with you. National Geographic have some great suggestions of things to do in Baltic cities such as St. Petersburg. Whilst many of these will be offered as excursions by your cruise operator, others will not. If you book any tours independently before you leave, make sure you bring your tickets with you.
A little forward thinking will go a long way towards making your Baltic Cruise vacation go smoothly. If you pack everything you need, you will not find yourself wasting precious time trying to prove your reservation, or stock up on essentials. Get things organised a few days before you depart, and then sit back, relax, and enjoy your vacation.
