I grew up in a very musical family. At one point in time (before I was born) my Dad was a professional musician in the Boston symphony and the Seattle Symphony. Each child was required to learn an instrument. I took piano lessons for a short time, but eventually stuck with the violin. My grandparents were also very musical and left many of their instruments to my family when they died. The two violins that I own belonged to my Grandfather.
