We have started to decorate for Christmas at our house. We actually started before Thanksgiving but only did one thing here and one thing there. I am finally done with my fireplace mantle. We have a couple Christmas trees up, but no ornaments on them yet. Tonight my husband wants to put some lights outside in the bushes, and the columns on our front porch. I wanted to share an easy Christmas craft with you. First here is our mantle. The craft I wanted to share with you in the "JOY" in the … [Read more...]
Halloween Table Decor
Today while browsing through all the Halloween things at the store looking for led pumpkin lights, I decided to get some candy corn to decorate my table. I haven't had my hurricanes with my white candles on the table for months, and I'm ready for a pretty table again! I know it is only going to be a couple weeks worth of decoration, but here is my cute candy corn table decor! I was hoping to find a bag of just the pumpkin candies, but they didn't have any, so I went with what they had. … [Read more...]
Bowling Pin Mummy and Ghost Tutorial
These cute Halloween decorations can be made very quickly and very cheaply. I am a HUGE fan of a 30 minute or less craft! Most of my bowling pin … [Read more...]
Ghostly Halloween Tree
My girls have been asking to do a craft, and since I’m starting to put Halloween décor everywhere, it’s getting me in the mood for some spooky crafting! While the kiddos were at school, I found a gnarly branch in the front yard, spray painted it black and stuck it in a pot on the front porch. When the girls came home from school, I had our stuff ready: a box of tissues, yarn (you could always use ribbon- … [Read more...]
Easter Decor!
Since we got a jump-start on our egg dying, I went through BHG and picked out my favorite decorating ideas. I tweaked different ways of egg-dying and different décor ideas to turn them into projects that I thought we could do with supplies that we already had.The first idea is natural died eggs on a cute egg tree! We blew out our eggs by poking a hole in each end and blowing. (Super gross and messy!) Then we tried to dye our eggs from natural ingredients. To make lavender, mix 1 cup of grape … [Read more...]
St. Patrick’s Day Roundup!
Since my Valentine Craft and treat posts were so popular I decided to jump on St. Patrick's Day and share some craft and treat ideas I found! On The Magic of Ordinary Things, she made a darling fabric wreath for St. Patrick's Day! She includes a tutorial and it looks pretty easy. I think I may attempt this since I am lacking in green decorations! While we are on the topic of wreaths, how about this super cute felt wreath by My Frugal Family? I LOVE it! And as the name of the blog … [Read more...]
