Stock Up to Avoid the Oops

June 23, 2016 By Stefanie

Thanks to SheSpeaks and Walmart.com for helping my family Avoid the Oops with this sponsored post. All opinions are my own.

Stock-Up-Avoid-Oops
There are several household items that definitely need to be stored in bulk. Running out of things like toothpaste, toilet paper or dish soap is a problem. Having extras of these items, and other household staples like paper towels, body wash, and dental floss, keep us sane. I like to always purchase two of these things when we go to the store to ensure that we are always stocked up, but sometimes I forget. Sometimes money is tight and an extra can’t be bought. Sometimes we have an “oops” moment.

A couple weeks ago my husband and I were in our bathroom getting ready for bed. I was brushing my teeth and hear him shuffling around in his bathroom drawer. I turned to look at him and ask what was up and he said “I’m out of toothpaste.” He went to the basement where we store our extra household items but came back upstairs empty handed. “We’re out of toothpaste” he said to me.  I handed him mine to use and said “put it on the shopping list.” Oops, he was out of his favorite toothpaste because an extra hadn’t been purchased the last time we went shopping. I was actually shocked because we are pretty good about buying extras of things, especially toiletries, but such it was, we were out.

Another oops moment happened when my sister and her daughters were visiting me a couple weeks ago. My sister held up my very cute soap holder and asked what it was. Since it didn’t have dish soap, she didn’t know it was my soap holder. I felt embarrassed for a moment. I know it wasn’t a big deal, but I wouldn’t have felt embarrassed about it if it had been full, but I was out of soap. Also, don’t forget those paper towels to quickly clean up kitchen messes.

Luckily, Walmart.com wants to help you avoid the oops moments with a special section of website dedicated to these vital household products. I was able to purchase back ups of my favorite items and necessary household products and have it delivered to my doorstep. What will you order?

Do you have a funny oops moment you want to share? I’d LOVE to hear them!
