We keep our storage in our basement. When we first moved into this house, what we refer to as our “storage room” didn’t have any shelves so my Father in Law was kind enough to build us a wall of shelves. I am always making sure that we have enough on hand for emergencies whenever they hit. I went to Walmart and stocked up last week on a lot of stuff as well!! Water is the biggest one for us to stock up on especially with wild fires here.

We live in tornado country, so I always try to be as prepared as you can be for emergency situations. Paper products, water and dish soap are items I always have stocked up just in case. Well, and personal hygeine products!

I stock up on paper towels and toilet paper. In my opinion, you can never have enough of those! This event looks great for getting squared away for spring.

So many wonderful stock up ideas! It’s so hard to stock up though with a bigger family/household, I’m hoping ot try again soon. I had a small stock of body wash, shampoos, etc… but my lovely 3 year old at the time decided it was great fun to pretend he was using the bathroom and dump them in the tub, toilet and sink…. wasted so many products!!!!

My husband and I are trying to be better prepared for an emergency. I like your tip about using old milk containers for things like washing. I’d love to get a good quality water container for drinking. Having something like this would be such a blessing during a disaster.
