Squashed – A Clever New 3D Board Game

November 7, 2013 By Stefanie

Disclosure: I received a free product sample to review in my Holiday Gift Guide. All experiences and opinions are my own. Yours may differ.

My family LOVES to play games. We love to have family game nights that the whole family can be involved in. Even though Squashed is recommended for ages 6+ (safety first!), my 4 year knows not to eat the pieces and he understands the game! We have had so much fun learning and strategizing about this game together.

We have also had several families over to our home to play Squashed and each has loved it. This is a fun, competitive game. Game play doesn’t take very long so it is good for short attention spans, or for those that feel the need to win (ahem, me!). You will be on to a new game and new chance to win soon enough!

PlaSmart is the same great company that brought us the Plasmacar review. Along with those toys they have some other awesome toy and games including this new game Squashed.

How to Play

Set up is simple and quick and game play is easy. Set up the board with the matching colored pegs on their corresponding squares. The goal of the game is to Squash your opponents. That can be done 1 of 2 ways. First pass over them while moving and SQUASH them into the board, or get your peg to one of the squares next to the yellow king and you get to rotate the board and SQUASH people! Everyone takes turns rolling the die, which has numbers 1-3 and trying to beat their opponents to the spaces next to the king or to line up with their opponents and SQUASH them!

Where to Buy

This game would make an awesome gift! You can get one for yourself or as a gift at the following US retailers:

  • Amazon.com
  • Barnes& Noble
  • Fat Brain Toys
  • Mindware

Or enter your zipcode on the site and see if there is a retailer near you. If you are in Canada you can also check the site to see where Squashed is available for you.

PlaSmart is giving one lucky reader their own Squashed board game. Making of a Mom is not responsible for prize shipment. This giveaway will run from November 7 through November 14. This giveaway is open to US and Canada residents ages 18+. Winner will be verified, emailed and have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen, no exceptions. Enter through the Rafflecopter below! Good Luck!!
