I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for OshKosh B’Gosh. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
- The weather is getting warmer so it’s time to shorten those sleeves and pant legs. Break out any short sleeve shirts and shorts you have in storage. Maybe you have hand me downs from older siblings or even friends passing clothes on to you. Get out the cool stuff!
- Spring is a time of new growth, flowers and bright sun. Follow natures steps and get clothing that is light and bright. Fun patterns, bright colors and light clothing will have you fitting in with the Spring plants and flowers around you.
- Shop the sales for a great deal! The changing season often means stores will have sales. Also, don’t forget the coupons. I went shopping at and found some darling things for my kids. This coupon will save you 25% off!
- Plan clothing according to your plans. That seems like a circular statement. At school my kids have “7 Habits for Success” one of those is “begin with the end in mind.” For me I think about the trips we are taking. If we are going to a busy amusement park then I try to get bright colors and matching-ish outfits for the kids so they will be easy for me to spot. We know Easter is coming so plan for those special outfits. If you think about the events that are coming up in your life, you can better plan for your clothing needs.
- Buy things that can mix and match. Clothes like khaki capris or jean shorts can be worn with a variety of colors and styles. These simple staples will let you complete several outfits. Sometimes space is tight when packing for vacation, but with simple bottoms like jean shorts you can change your look for several days without looking like you are wearing the same thing over and over again.
- Buy a size up to make it last. Sometimes you can buy clothes a size up and have it last for two seasons. We always do this with rain jackets since it’s ok for them to be a little big. Buying a size up will get you a double bang for your buck!
