Right now you can download the Saving Mr. Banks book for FREE on iBooks! I recently saw the movie (which opens in select locations 12.13 and EVERYWHERE 12.20) and LOVED it. I laughed and cried. It was a beautiful story. I love Mary Poppins so felt especially connected with this movie.
I loved this part of the movie. Mrs. Travers (Emma Thompson did an amazing job playing this role – really incredible!) didn’t want to go to Disneyland but Walt tricked her into going. It was so fun to see Walt at Disneyland. I admit, I got choked up a little!
The music in the movie was especially fun. The music in Mary Poppins is very well known so it was fun to hear some of the songs as they were being developed! LOVE!!!!
There is definitely a seriousness to the movie. This cup is about the underlying story of the film and Mary Poppins!
