Packing my Cowboy Boots for Horseshoe Canyon Ranch

May 27, 2015 By Stefanie

My trip was provided by Horseshoe Canyon Ranch to help promote their all inclusive vacation.

I have always wanted to go to an all inclusive resort. When I pictured this resort I had visions of foreign countries and the beach. To my surprise and delight my first experience with an all inclusive resort will be a Dude Ranch in Arkansas. From May 27 – 31 I am heading to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch with some Kansas City bloggers. So you may be asking what is there possibly to do at a dude ranch? Let me tell you!

  • Swimming
  • Hiking
  • Horseback Riding
  • Archery
  • Skeet Shooting
  • Canoeing
  • Zip Lining
  • Eating

and the list goes on…

I can not wait to spend my days exploring and experiencing new things. I’ve only ridden a horse once and I was 7. I’ve never shot a gun before so I’m excited to see if I can shoot some skeets! I also love canoeing so I can’t wait for that!

We will be staying in a rustic log cabin (with modern conveniences) and a large porch with rocking chairs. I can’t wait to spend some time rocking on the porch watching everything. This is going to be a unique trip in that it will be pretty laid back. We can have adventures and relax.

I think I’m most excited for the home cookin’ we will be eating! Anything I can do to avoid having to make dinner, I’m all about it!

Horseshoe Canyon Ranch is part of the Dude Ranchers Association (DRA). The DRA makes sure that you will have an enjoyable and quality ranch experience. To be a member of the association there is a rigorous inspection process that lasts two years, so you know these ranches that are apart of it are there to offer an amazing vacation for your family!

Follow along with me and the other KC bloggers at #HorseshoeCanyonRanch and #DudeRanch on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We want to show you ever aspect of our trip so you can being to plan yours!
