Mainly due to the uprising of social media in the last decade, parents nowadays are more likely to find out about their children’s every life by stalking their social media profiles instead of asking them face to face. With the passing of time, the communication gap between parents and children are increasing and the presence of internet technology merely reinforces the nature of the relationship.
Although a lot of people blame social media sites like Facebook and Twitter for distracting their children from the real relationships in their lives but fact of the matter is that as children grow into adults, they find less in common with their parents. You are more likely to be focused on your job and your child does not get as much attention as you would have liked to give. Every parent who earns an honest living feels that way. So naturally, your child is going to find alternate means of amusement. So between peer pressure and boredom, social media sites seem like an excellent pastime. So instead of condemning the internet, parents would do a lot better by spending some quality time with their children. A lot of people relate to quality as expensive but that is not true. You do not need spend a vacation in Europe every time you want to want some family time.
What you need to do is, between public holidays, weekends and a couple of personal day offs, to make some time for a family activity. The rule of thumb is to go for something different; something you have never tried before. May be this is why outdoor activities are such an ideal means to spend time with your family.
Whether you camp out for two days in your backyard or you go off to hike along some ancient Incan trail in the Amazon, is once again, entirely up to you. The idea is to bring your family closer and to make each and every member coexist in a challenging environment. For a small period of time, there are not going to be any distractions. You can use the time to build your team skills and to improve communication with each other. It may be because you are having fun or are just bored but you are not going to have anyone else to talk to except the members of your family. And it is because you share this mutual feeling that your family will continue to stick together in the future.
If you have medical problems or are not particularly enthusiastic about wildlife, you can host a fun game in your backyard! By making the time to do something entertaining but constructive with the entire family, you are creating a rapport which enables every member to share something unique with each other. In order to have a healthy family, you do not have to be dependent on each other and you certainly don’t have to stalk each other! All you have to do is share a memory that is worth remembering.
So if you want your family to continue sharing cherished moments, keep in mind that an idea for an outdoor activity is perhaps all that it takes to bring everyone together.

[…] Corn toss would need 2 teams to play the game. This can either be by single player or double players in each team. Meaning to say, this game can be played by 2 to 4 players. Each team member is allowed to pitch in opposite corners of the platform. They would be allowed to take turn in throwing the bags until all 4 bags are thrown. This game can be more exciting than you think. If you haven’t played it before, you can consider playing it one of these days. Just make sure to familiarize yourself on its mechanics first.
