I cannot be trusted with expensive phones. I have owned a cell phone since 2001 when my parents gave me one for Christmas during my sophomore year of college (week, don’t try to figure out my age!). Since then I have always owned the cheapy free phone any cell carrier has offered me. I have been through all the cell carriers and have always gotten the free phone. I am notorious for dropping my phones and letting my babies gnaw on my phones. Since becoming a blogger I started feeling like I could really benefit from having a smartphone, plus it seemed everyone around me had a smartphone. I really wanted one but couldn’t justify the cost of it, especially when I would probably drop it and break it.  My husband and I had many discussions about the subject and in June finally took the plunge into the world of smartphones! It was super exciting! While we were in the store, the sales person kept telling me over and over that I NEEDED an OtterBox. She told me they were the best cases around and that if I was going to have an expensive phone, I NEEDED a reliable, sturdy case.

OtterBox sent me the toughest case they make – Armor!

This amazing case is

  • Water proof up to 6.6 feet for 30 minutes.
  • Drop Proof on concrete up to 10 ft.
  • Dust proof.
  • Crush proof up to 2 tons.

If this case can live up to military standards surely it can live up to me and my 3 kids! 🙂 As much confidence as I do have in this case, I’m not going to test it out with my phone! lol The point it, it is offering protection well above what I need in my day to day life, so it is awesome!

This case, unlike some others that I own, is very easy to open. On the side of the case are two latches that open and close the case. It is tough to do the latches making them very secure and sealing the case. Because of how thick the case is it makes it a little tough to press the buttons. One amazing thing I noticed about the case is that since it fits the phone so well, the screen is crystal clear and you can even tell it is behind a screen protector. The functionality of the touch screen isn’t affected at all by the case.

This case is a little manly for me, but my husband loves it! He loves that it is so tough. He works at an Army facility and so he thinks it fits right in with his surroundings.

This case, and any other OtterBox case would make a great gift! Since they are the #1 selling case for smartphones in the US it is a pretty safe bet it will be well received! We own a couple other OtterBox cases and I love them all. I love how sturdy they feel and how reliable they are. Our phones feel completely protected in our OtterBox cases!
