OurPact Parental Control App

January 13, 2016 By Stefanie

I’m excited to introduce you today to a wonderfully helpful app, OurPact. All opinions are my own.

OurPact-Hero
As often happens in the New Year, I have been reflecting on changes I want to see in my home. Along with common goals like getting more organized, decluttering my home and losing a few pounds, I also want to get the amount of time we spend in front of screens under control. With OurPact parental control app I can do just that.

What is OurPact?

OurPact is an easy-to-use iOS application that helps guide our children’s mobile habits. I simply create a profile for each child and input a schedule for their app use. OurPact allows apps and internet use during the allotted time slots and blocks it during times my children should be doing other things. I can make schedules for my children and all of this is controlled from my own iOS device.

Getting started is easy. OurPact is a free app so you can download it from the iTunes store. Once it is downloaded, setting up your profiles is easy. OurPact has a quick tutorial to explain how to set up profiles, set time limits and use the app. It’s very simple.

I have kind of slacked in the department of making my kids have some active fun and let the screen time drag on. We will be changing some house rules and our schedule now in the new year. In the beginning there will be some whining about not getting to play on the tablets as often, but once they get used to the schedule change, they won’t even remember the way things used to be. OurPact is the best parental control app to enact this type of change. The goal is balance and I think this is the easiest way to achieve that goal.

OurPact will be coming to Android devices soon, which is exciting news! We are a mixed household so I’ll be excited to get OurPact on every device in our home.

Are you trying to find more balance in the new year? Do you need to make any changes when it comes to screen time in your home?

Oh, kids probably shouldn’t have mobiles, but they do and they are addicted to them. I faced the problem that my son is addicted to playing games on his mobile all the time. He does it whenever he has a free minute. He does nothing -just plays games all the time. I found the solution. I installed parental control app Kidslox. You can find it here http://www.kidslox.com. Now his time on the mobile is limited. Also, big amount of his games are blocked. At first, he was nervous because of such restrictions, but now we spend more time together outdoors and it is great!
