A Lovely Bouquet for Mother’s Day

May 2, 2016 By Stefanie

I received compensation from 1800Flowers.com for my participation through my relationship with the Quality Blue Community. All opinions are my own.

I have a love/hate relationship with Mother’s Day. I love my family and I love being the Mother to my three cute kids. I hate the day set aside for them to celebrate me and appreciate me. I would wish that those feelings and acts of gratitude would go on everyday of the year, not just on Mother’s Day. Every year I tell my family we are not celebrating Mother’s Day on this one day, you need appreciate what I contribute to this family every day.

As a Mother, those are my feelings. As a daughter, I want to do special things for my own Mom on Mother’s Day (see how these two roles and feelings conflict with each other?) I only see my own Mom 1-2 times a year. It stinks living so far away. Even though we are far she still does so much for me and my own family and she should be celebrated extra on Mother’s Day.

I also have some friends and family who struggle with infertility and Mother’s Day is a painful day of the year for them. Though, I do believe Mother’s Day isn’t just about biological Mom’s but about all influential women in our lives. Mother’s Day is a celebration for the women who have shaped us into what we are today. Simply, Mother’s Day is for women not just Mom’s.

Flowers are a fun, special gift. I don’t get flowers often so when I do, I treasure them. I recently was able to browse the 1800Flowers.com site to pick out a bouquet I would like to enjoy for Mother’s Day. I loved how they had a large variety of flowers and colors. The bouquets seem to have their own personalities. I picked one that is so beautiful and seems so happy.  Look at how beautiful the Fields of Europe™ for Spring bouquet is. I love the bright, colorful flowers and the gorgeous deep greenery.

While I was browsing the flowers considering my own Mom I thought the Mother’s Embrace bouquet reminded me of my Mom. It’s so beautiful and soft. It has a gorgeous variety flowers and a lovely vase.

Do you have an animal lover as a Mother or influential woman in your life that you will be celebrating on Mother’s Day? Look how darling the Playful Pup bouquet is. I have never seen anything like this. It would definitely be a hit for the dog lover in your life. I particularly love that this is the epitome of Spring with the bouquet in a watering can and a butterfly off to the side.
