Larkburger Review

June 11, 2013 By Stefanie

Disclaimer: My family was given a free lunch in return for a review of Larkburger. All opinions and experiences are my own. Yours may differ.

Larkburger review

While on vacation in Colorado this past week we stopped by Larkburger in Edwards for a tasty lunch.  Since I was there on a mini family reunion, several of my family members wanted to join us. I had this review set up for a couple weeks, but when I arrived they were not expecting us. I told my other family members to go ahead and order and start eating while we got the situation sorted out. Even though there was some confusion about the situation, Larkburger had fantastic customer service and the employees in Edwards did a great job sorting it out!

I decided to try the namesake hamburger – the Larkburger. I loved that I could order my burger cooked the way I wanted, which is well done. Each burger comes with leaf lettuce, ripe tomato, red onion, pickles and their house dressing. I skipped the onion and added American cheese. As you can see below there was still a little pink in my burger, so not quite well done, but still VERY good!! I loved all the fresh ingredients. You can seriously taste the quality.

My husband ordered the Chicken Burger. This sandwich featured grilled chicken, leaf lettuce, ripe tomato, red onion, cilantro and chipotle sauce. It was SO GOOD!! I only got one bite of his and loved it! I should have taken it from him! 🙂

OK buckle up for this next item! We ordered truffle and Parmesan fries. YES they are as good as the name implies. They were AMAZING! So, SO good! We passed them around the table so everyone could try them and everyone loved them. These fries feature grated Parmesan, Italian parsley and truffle oil. They were fantastic! I would call them a must have on every trip to Larkburger!

My kids both ordered the grilled cheese sandwich, which comes on a hamburger bun. My daughter was very confused at first! She ate hers up and said it was good. I forgot to have a bite since I was so busy enjoying my own food. I did notice that the grilled cheese also came with the house sauce on there, so I’m sure it was tasty!! My son doesn’t really eat anything so he skipped his grilled cheese sandwich and chowed down on the regular french fries. He loved them and didn’t want to share with anyone else.

Mistakes do happen and a couple things on my family’s and our order were missing or confused, but we just let be. We aren’t really ones to “rock the boat” so we just let it slide. They do have great employees (at least in Edwards, but I assume the same stand of employee is found throughout the chain) so getting things fixed to order would be easy and painless I’m sure.

Now that I have experienced Larkburger I’m very sad to not live near one. It is super good! We have yet to find a good burger place in Missouri, so for now we will just dream of our great time at Larkburger and look forward to another visit to Colorado.

Have you tried Larkburger? What did you think?

Wow, the burgers look really nice and I love the thin fries! We do not have Larkburger in the NY area but hopefully we will in the future.

The burger looks great. I would get one but I live in Illinois. BTW, I had my first quarter pounder last week. It was the new habanero quarter pounder and it was very good. The only thing I had to eat really light for dinner because the QB was 540 calories.
