Ever since my husband and I learned about Keurig’s we have really wanted one. It seems like such a fun machine and what a great way to get a nice hot beverage really fast! I was so excited when I received the opportunity to review the Keurig OfficePRO single cup brewer.
We do not drink coffee at my house so our Keurig is used for cocoa or cider. Along with the Keurig I received a 16 K-cup pack of Cafe Escapes milk 
chocolate flavored hot chocolate.
We read the directions carefully to get the machine all set up and through the first brew, I assume this is to clean out the system. We then brewed our second cup and used the cocoa k-cup. We noticed a funny taste so I did some research. It turns out that a lot of Keurig’s have a plasticy taste at first. There are several methods for ridding the machine of this taste, as well as a very friendly customer service, so this should not inhibit you from purchasing a machine. I have also found that if I put in fresh water and make my cocoa right then, it doesn’t have the bad taste. When we try one of the methods for removing the taste, I will report back to you!
I love that the machine has 3 different ounce settings. We can choose a 6, 8 or 10 ounce beverage. It is very user friendly. Since we have never owned a coffee maker, we weren’t sure what to expect, so I’m very delighted it is easy. You just turn it on, the machine heats up, you add your desired k-cup and add your mug underneath the brewer and push brew. It does the rest! The whole process takes maybe 5 minutes. The water does come out super hot, we add a little milk and it makes it perfect!
Being non coffee drinkers, our k-cup options for cocoa are very limited. I contacted Keurig asking them to please increase their cocoa flavor options. Hopefully in the future there will be several more flavors to try.
Another great thing about the Keurig machines is that it will brew you some hot water if you want to use a packet beverage. Sometimes in the fall and winter we love to drink apple cider, so we just place a packet of cider in the bottom of our mug, brew some hot water, stir and done! You aren’t limited to the k-cups at all which is nice since that can get expensive!
Over all I can see why people love the Keurig machines! We love ours also!

Wonderful option, this Keurig one-serving cup!
But the cost with the K-cups usage is HUGE, if you are a great coffee lover!
That is why I love using machines that have a ground coffee option – less expensive when it comes to buying coffee. Much more delicious, too.

This is great. You know, there are companies that do make apple cider K-cups–you should check online. I’ve gotten some with my K-cup sampler packs when I get them on Amazon.

We love our Keurig! I am not a hot coffee drinker regularly so I was thrilled they offer Iced Coffee for their machine 😉
