This post has been sponsored by Kellogg’s, all opinions are my own.
Growing up and now being the Mom of the family, my family is in a breakfast rut. I don’t think they know it, but as I look in at the daily breakfast happenings, it’s there. Everyday it’s the same cold cereal and milk for breakfast. The kids are mostly content with this but I think they would welcome some change. I know my husband would be all about any change I could offer.
Now as an adult, I see what my Dad was doing with his breakfasts, though maybe he was a little skewed without having a rhyme or reason to his pairings. has worked with some top Chef’s to come up with some cool flavor combinations. My favorite is from Lazarus Lynch and is called Raisin Bran Carrot Cake. To make this you need Kellogg’s Raisin Bran® mixed with grated carrots, chopped walnuts, dried pineapple, coconut flakes, skim milk and a dash of cinnamon. Sounds awesome right? Though, the combinations from the Kellogg’s Breakfast Bar sound amazing too:
Turns out my Dad was ahead of his time! He’d just needed some direction. This has definitely inspired me to get a little adventurous with my family and start pairing fruits, spices and other ingredients to our cereals to come up with some delicious new breakfast favorites!
I’m also pretty excited about the where Kellogg’s will be providing 1 billion servings of snacks and cereal to children and families in need around the world by the end of 2016.
What are ways you #StirUpBreakfast? Do you add special things in your cereal bowl to jazz it up?
