This post is overdue by about a month! Our trip to the temple was so nice! The girls behaved like the angels I pretend they are. Our pictures didn’t turn out wonderful because the sun was super bright and it was too windy to keep our dresses from blowing away. But, I got some cute shots of the girls at the fountain which was their favorite part outside. They were so excited when I told them they got to go inside the temple- since they are not old enough to go in normally, an open house (before it is dedicated) is the only time they get to go in until they are 12.
Another favorite part was the chandeliers inside the temple. They were so big and sparkly, and the girls kept saying, “I wish we could have on in our house!” And I agreed. (Even thought they are bigger than our living room…) As we took our tour, I was so happy to hear everything my kiddos had to say about the temple; just proof that they do listen when I try to teach them! Hooray for that! They knew that the Angel on the top was Moroni, we got to see where the baptisms take place and Keaghan knew that the 12 oxen were symbolic of the 12 tribes of Israel. We also got to see where families are sealed together and they could feel what a special place it was. I am so thankful we could make the trip and have it be a peaceful, spiritual experience for them and to reinforce what a special place the Temple is for us.
