Ground Beef-Chorizo Burgers

Ground Beef Chorizo Burgers

Ingredients

  • 11/4 lb grass-fed ground beef
  • 1/2 lb raw chorizo sausage (or grass-fed ground beef)
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • Curly leaf lettuce
  • 3 medium-size tomatoes, thickly sliced
  • Small dill pickles (optional)

Instructions

Preheat grill to medium-high. Combine ground beef, chorizo, onion, garlic, salt and pepper in a large bowl; mix just until blended. Shape beef mixture into 6 patties. Place on a grill rack rubbed with oil. Grill 5 to 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Assemble burgers with lettuce leaves, patties and tomatoes (as the bun). Garnish with pickles, if desired. Serve with knife and fork.

I love chorizo and never thought of combining it with beef for a burger! This looks and sounds delicious. I can’t wait to try it! Thank you for sharing this recipe.

I don’t have Chorzio (never heard of it before!), but do have grass fed ground beef and lots of coconut oil. Thank you for sharing this recipe. It sounds delicious!
