Ground Beef Chorizo Burgers
Ingredients
- 11/4 lb grass-fed ground beef
- 1/2 lb raw chorizo sausage (or grass-fed ground beef)
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
- Curly leaf lettuce
- 3 medium-size tomatoes, thickly sliced
- Small dill pickles (optional)
Instructions
Preheat grill to medium-high. Combine ground beef, chorizo, onion, garlic, salt and pepper in a large bowl; mix just until blended. Shape beef mixture into 6 patties. Place on a grill rack rubbed with oil. Grill 5 to 6 minutes per side or to desired doneness. Assemble burgers with lettuce leaves, patties and tomatoes (as the bun). Garnish with pickles, if desired. Serve with knife and fork.
