We love to do activities as a family. It is always fun to take field trips to see new things together. My kids love to learn so we have lots of fun visiting the zoo and learning about animals, or visiting nature centers and learning about plants and animals native to our area. There is a science center in Kansas City we have visited that has a lot of different experiments and things for kids to try out. They loved having that hands on experience and trying new things. Often times instead of giving presents for Christmas or birthdays we will give “memories” which is really tickets to a place or an event. We love to create memories together as a family, it’s much better than giving “stuff”! When you do those kinds of things, make sure you bring your camera so the memory will live on with pictures! My kids love to share all of our pictures with other family members or friends and tell them all about our fun family trips.
We love to travel as a family. We have taken our children all over the world. Instead of leaving them home with Grandma and Grandpa we have brought them with us to experience different cultures, food and people. I love that my daughter had her passport full of stamps by the time she was 5 and is now on her second passport.By taking quality pictures we can help remember these fun times as a family, and really make the memories stick. Especially since some of these fun trips happened before she was old enough to remember them, her memories of them come from the pictures we have.
I’m very excited for an upcoming event my family has the opportunity to attend. We are going to a Harlem Globetrotters game, part of their “You write the rules” world tour. My son is obsessed with sports so he is going to be thrilled once we get there. We haven’t ever been to any event like this one, so I’m excited for us all to experience this together, and build this new family memory. It will be even more special since now we have baby Eli in our family, and it will be our first event as a family of 5! I look forward to sharing our experience and photos after we attend this fun event!
“The Harlem Globetrotters love seeing families laugh together during our games, and would love to see your family when we come to a city near you. If you’re looking for an awesome event the whole family will enjoy, get your tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters “You Write the Rules” tour. Your family’s smiles will start before you even get to the game because this year, your family can vote at harlemglobetrotters.com, and decide rules for the game like two balls in play at the same time that could affect the final outcome. After the game, Globetrotters will stay on court to sign autographs and take photographs with your kids. The only thing better than finding an event the whole family will enjoy, is getting a great deal on it. Save $7 per ticket* by using the promo code “TOGETHER“. Get ready to experience a show your family will remember for a lifetime! *Discount available on select ticket levels“

When I was a young kid (I’m 47) the Harlem Globetrotters came to the Boy’s Club where I would go ice skating at and I was given a free ticket for myself and a parent. I remeber going and having the BEST time, and because the Boy’s Club was so small it was very intimate and up close. I remember being picked up by one of the players to make a basket!! So I would recommend that every family go to see the Harlem Globetrotters!! They may not be the same players I had the experience of meeting, but they are all hugely talented and fun to watch!! :0)

Honestly I don’t have any interest in any sports but I get a kick out of my cute husband dramatically watching them, he’s very entertaining and I have to say at least the Harlem Globetrotters combine an entertaining show with their sport so I do like that better. : )
