Electronics & Circuitry Kit Review

March 25, 2013 By Stefanie

IMG_0714My husband is a big kid at heart. He likes to get in and play with the kids. I love that he likes to play their games and help with their crafts. It’s fun for me! He is also an Electrical Engineer and LOVES his job. I knew that he would love the Electronics & Circuitry kit from Ravensburger’s all new Science X Collection. He was excited to build, and to teach the kids the science behind electricity.

He was very nice at letting all the little hands help him make the different projects.

The kits was very organized. All the little wires and components and paper parts for building were all organized neatly to make finding what you needed easy. The directs are clear and easy to understand and follow. This is a great project for kids ages 10+. IMG_0720This was the first project. You create a circuit to make the light bulb turn on. In the instruction book it has several experiments to try out with your newly build circuit. It asks you to put the wires in water, dirt, sugar, and other things to see if those things conduct electricity and turn the light bulb on. It was fun to see the wheels turning in my daughters head and she was figuring out why the light was turning on. She loved hypothesizing whether the different elements would conduct electricity to turn the light on or not. After we tried them all, we filled out the little chart included.

This has been so much fun learning and playing together. It has been fun family time to build the circuits and see what happens. This is also another great kit that could help you with an awesome science fair project! We have loved this awesome toy.
