Easy Strawberry Shortcake Recipe

May is national strawberry month and what a better way to celebrate than by a super easy strawberry shortcake recipe? My family really likes strawberry shortcake as strawberries are our favorite fruit, so their were shouts of joy when I announced we were having strawberry shortcake for dessert. As a general rule strawberry shortcake is pretty easy all around (unless you are making your own cake) but here is a unique way to prepare it.

Since I also just became a Strawberry Shortcake (the character) ambassador I’m going to combine this recipe with an awesome giveaway, so keep reading!

Easy Strawberry Shortcake

Easy-Strawberry-Shortcake
Ingredients:

12 Cake Donuts

6 Cups Whipped Cream

1 Lb Fresh Strawberries (quartered)

Strawberry Shortcake Friends Forever Cupcake Rings

1 Bottle Pink Premium Gel Color (optional)

 

Directions:

Bake or buy pre-made plain cake donuts. Cut each in half.

(optional) Tint whipped cream pink, layer onto bottom half of each donut.

Place quartered strawberries on top of whipped cream, then sandwich with top half of donut.

Top with a dollop of whipped cream and a Strawberry Shortcake Friends Forever Cupcake Ring.

    I had them all when I was little . This brings back so many memories . Orange Blossom was my favorite I remember being so excited when I got her for my 6th birthday.
