I received a free product for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
My husband is an Electrical Engineer and loves to build things. Last year when we were first introduced to Hexbug through a fun game and a bug with a track, he was amazed. He spent a lot of time studying the creature to figure out how it worked and what parts were inside. This year he is going to be floored when I show him what Hexbug has in store for him now!
Hexbug has a new line of toys out call Vex Robotics. These construction sets allow you to build your own bug! Check it out:
How cool is that? With snap pieces you don’t need any tools to put the robots together. The kit comes with the pieces, gears, motors, brain and remote control. You just provide the batteries and you’re ready to go.
We received the Ant. There are over 150 pieces so I anticipate this project taking a few hours but it’ll be fun family time. The kids are always very interested in building so when my husband puts this together he will have a lot of help. I’m interested to see if the Ant will only work on wood, or if it will also go on carpet. I think this will definitely be a hit at our house! Another cool thing is that these robots are compatible with each other so if you get several kits you can create your own mega robot. You can purchase the Ant for $49.99 on the Hexbug site.
Besides the ant there is also a scarab, sand beast an spider.
What do you think of the new Vex Robotics sets? Which robot is your favorite?

I´m very thankful that you show how to make this type of projects
I´m going to do it with my son to spend some time together and have a good time
I wish this manual work for children were more popular because nowadays digital media takes most of children´s time
