Disneynature Monkey Kingdom on Blu-ray Sept. 15

September 12, 2015 By Stefanie

Coming to Blu-ray Combo on September 15 is Monkey Kingdom from Disneynature. I love all the Disneynature films. They have a way of making a “documentary” type film so interesting even my kids love to watch them.

From Disneynature, the studio that brought you Chimpanzee and Bears, comes MONKEYKINGDOM, a spectacular tale set among ancient ruins in the storied jungles of South Asia. Maya, a clever and resourceful monkey, finds her world forever changed when she welcomes her son Kip into her colorful extended family. As Maya strives to keep Kip safe through unexpected and sometimes perilous adventures, amazing footage captures all the magic and surprises of their magnificent world. Maya and her family will make you laugh and warm your heart as she realizes her dreams for her son’s future.

I also love the conservation efforts the put in with each film. During the first week of ticket sales when the film is in theaters they donate proceeds to a cause. Now during the first week the blu-ray is available for purchase they are also donating money.

For every Digital and Blu-ray Combo Pack sold during first-week sales, Disneynature will make a donation to Conservation International in your honor to help protect endangered species in their natural habitat, supporting conservation project across Indonesia, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka.

Monkey Kingdom is such a funny film. Tina Fey does an awesome job narrating. The story line that the crew found while filming the monkeys was incredible. It’s such a great way to learn more about Monkey’s and their dynamics.

My family had a family movie night to watch this film for the first time. Everyone loved it and I’m so glad that we own it now because it’ll be a family favorite from now on.

On September 15 you can own your own copy of Monkey Kingdom on Blu-ray Combo. I’m particularly excited about the digital copy that comes with it so I can have it on my Disney Movies Anywhere app to watch anywhere I am.
