Cruising Through the Holidays in a Toyota Sienna

January 4, 2018 By Stefanie

This post has been sponsored by Toyota. All opinions are my own.

The holidays are a time jam packed with traditions. This year while we were checking the traditions off the list, we were enjoying the ride of a 2017 Toyota Sienna Limited. This car joined us in our traditional piano recital, Christmas parties, driving through “Christmas in the park,” church, even a birthday and anniversary celebration.

When I was contacted with the opportunity to drive a 2017 Toyota Sienna Limited for a couple weeks over winter break while we prepared for Christmas I jumped at the chance. We received the car just in time for our kids piano recital. This is my son’s first year taking piano lessons so it was his first recital. He was doubly excited that we drove there in the “new car.”

In the days leading up to Christmas there was a lot of secret shopping to be done. My husband and I had a lot of fun finishing our Christmas shopping and loading up the nice sized trunk. We were able to keep some surprises hidden in the trunk without the kids ever catching on and there was still room for our stroller.

We experienced our first snow fall of the year with the Toyota. We awoke Christmas Eve to our first snow. Since the Sienna has all wheel drive we were very confident in our ability to make it to church since our neighborhood roads are always last to get plowed. It handled well and we were safe while we were out and about.

Not only were we safe because of all wheel drive but because of the blind spot monitoring, rear view camera, incredible air bag protection, anti lock and smart assist breaks and more. The features go on and on. The 2017 Toyota Sienna is loaded with awesomeness.

One of the most looked forward to things during the Christmas season is “Christmas in the park.” This is an impressive light display that you drive through in a nearby camping area. These lights attract tens of thousands of people. Since we were running a little behind schedule we ended up at the end of a two hour long line. No need to feel bad for us, the kids were entertained with the built in Blu-ray player. We threw in Christmas movies to pass the time until it was our turn to enjoy the millions of lights.

While we had the Toyota Sienna, Missouri was experiencing some record breaking cold weather. But were we grateful the Sienna had adjustable heated seats and zoned heating so we could keep the kids as warm as they wanted to be (which was warmer than I wanted to be).

Do you think we were done shopping when Christmas was over? No way! We then had gift cards to spend. We had a lot of fun going shopping and using Christmas gifts, especially all while watching more movies in the back. The blu-ray player was definitely the kids favorite part of the car and what they now miss.

The Christmas of 2017 was definitely improved by the use of the 2017 Toyota Sienna Limited. We made a lot of great family memories with all of our activities and they now include our great two weeks spent with the Sienna. I enjoyed this car so much I’m trying to figure out how we can trade in our car and upgrade to a Toyota Sienna! I want to give a huge Thank You to Toyota to introducing us to this car!

What a great way to transport your family to all of the fun! I love that there’s room for my family of five in the Sienna, plus all of our stuff! The security features make it a no brainer.

I’ve ridden in one of those recently. I was really surprised how quiet it was – that is until someone turned on a movie – then it was quite loud! 😉

Our minivan was a lifesaver when our three kids were little and I miss having all that extra space. The Sienna is beyond stunning!

Anyway to have the cruise control default to ON when vehicle is initilly started? On my Chevy pickup I simply reach my desired speed and push one button and my cruise is set.
